APPEARANCE OF BABY
Baby is a tiny creature with a gray outer layer and large sparkling crimson eyes. His antenna is long and wide, slanted to the side. The metamorphosis of the cybernetic parasite occurs over time as it matures during its larval stage. It has a sort of carapace when it is young, with a greenish blue tone on most of its body and arms, and now sports red and yellow shoulder pads and bracelets. His eyes also probably change from red to blue.
After taking possession of Vegeta, one of his most famous and stylized items, he shares the physical characteristics of the Saiyan Prince as he grows up, such as his eyes and shoulder pads. Instead of the typical black or golden locks, baby Vegeta has white hair due to the fusion of the two individuals.
BABY'S PERSONALITY
Immediately, Baby seeks to revitalize the Tsuful race and eliminate the Saiyans. He proves to be smart enough to dominate Team Dragon, otherwise known as the Z-fighters, take Vegeta and successfully restore the Tsuful homeworld over time. However, as his name suggests, he is immature and childish; he can be teased to the point of losing control. Ironically, while he considers the Saiyans to be a savage people, he enjoys fighting when he confronts them.
Baby believes he is on a rampage (typical of apes and golden monkeys) when he becomes a golden monkey (Oozaru). Baby kills several followers to test his abilities while pretending to be in a rage. This secondary character is extremely intelligent, has an extremely self-centered character and likes to be alone.
As we saw in the previous chapter, Baby does not care about the lives of others when they worship him as king. However, he is considered to care about various things, such as he thanks Bulma for developing the Blitz wave generator and will not want his own planet to be destroyed in battle.
Instead of being at peace with his torment, in order to become the most powerful being in the universe, he intends to prevent any individual or race from surpassing his power (like many villains throughout the Saga!). He has openly declared his desire to become Shenron himself one day.
When Super Baby Vegeta gains the energy of his followers, he becomes more vicious, declaring that every living thing should be treated as a slave. He is also quite vain because of the Tsuful King’s DNA in Baby, and prefers to fight head on. He is one of two survivors of the Tsuful race (the other being Dr. Lychee), which was nearly wiped out by the Saiyans; he has a long-standing animosity towards them. Unlike his predecessors (with the exception of Zamasu), Baby does not act out of pure evil.
Returning to the Dragon Ball story and his position in the Japanese anime series, Baby is the opponent of the main characters, but he seeks revenge for all the suffering of his people at the hands of the Saiyans. When the fusion dance with Zamasu & Goku Black took place, Baby was able to keep his personality and memories. Unlike Zamasu & Goku Black and Baby, however, he will eventually become what he despises in order to obtain Saiyan power, bringing misery by infecting most of the remaining Earthlings and Saiyan hybrids in order to establish a new Tsuful empire with which he plans to rule the entire universe.
BIOGRAPHY OF BABY
PREAMBLE
The baby is a visitor from another solar system. He was born in the year 730 and died in the year 790, according to traditional accounts. The last of the race generated genetically superior life forms, parasitic organisms to which they infused the DNA of King Tsuful during the Saiyans vs. Tsufuls war. These creatures spread throughout space around 737, with the goal of eradicating the Saiyans in revenge for the genocide of their people by King Vegeta and his Saiyan troops. Baby was the first Tsuful to return and seek revenge against the Saiyan race, beginning a long-running conflict. In the year 735, Baby swore revenge on the Saiyans for wiping out his people, announcing that he would create “the universal plan” to bring them back.
In the year 740, Baby creates Dr. Myuu to collect the resurrection energy he needs to get a huge physique. Baby explains to Myuu how to build Luud, M-2 and the others using the mutant machine creation method. Baby is a parasite that was apparently created as a “last resort” with one goal in mind: to see the destruction of the Saiyan race and its enslavement by the Tsufuls for their own purposes.
However, as his name suggests, Baby is very young and prone to fits of rage and fear, as well as not taking his bickering seriously. It is also suggested that “Baby” was not his original name or at least not the one intended for him, as Baby does not recognize the title at first and begins to despise it. During the fight between Gohan possessed by Baby and Goten and Vegeta, Baby reveals his true Tsuful history to Vegeta before revealing how he was created.
BABY & ; BABY VEGETA DANS DRAGON BALL GT
SAGA BABY
The humanoid that appears in the DBGT saga is first met by Goku, Pan and Trunks when they go to M-2, Dr. Myuu’s home planet, where he lives. At that time, Baby is still confined in a liquid-filled tank, where he is completing his regeneration. When Trunks seems to want to stop the process and condemn the parasite to certain death, Baby’s inner fury erupts when Goku mentions the word “Saiyan”, which violently awakens him. However, at that moment, Baby is no match for the three Saiyans, and he will run away by hiding in Dr. Myuu’s body.
After Dr. Myuu narrowly avoids capture, Baby emerges from his body and berates Myuu for forgetting who the “real master” is, implying that it was he who created Dr. Myuu to bring him back to life and provide him with the power to build the other mutant machines. After failing to stop Goku, Trunks and Pan from leaving the planet M-2 in General Rilldo’s carcass, Baby finds a crystal ball from the Black Star and sets a trap for them after they leave in the form of General Rilldo.
In Dragon Ball Super, Baby kills the entire crew of a spaceship and takes control of a young alien, where he hides the Dragon Ball to trap the Saiyans. The plan succeeds and Baby is transferred to a hospital in Pital with Krillin, Vegeta and Gohan, while still in the form of a child. Baby tries to steal the trunk of the divine tree and claim it as his own, but Trunks grabs it first. Baby enters his body through a shoulder wound, but Trunks has enough willpower to resist the parasite. Baby flees Earth in the blink of an eye after seeing his chance slip away, hoping to find the last Saiyans on Earth.
After emerging on Earth, Baby begins her campaign of destruction by taking over the bodies of several humans. She then takes over Son Goten’s body after defeating Baby’s rampaging human hosts. After having his body stolen by Baby Goten, Gohan challenges him to a fight in which he trades control of the bodies for Gohan’s, but not before putting an egg planted inside Goten that places him under Baby’s command. Vegeta then finds Vegeta and explains Baby’s origins to him, which leads to a fight between them.
Thus, one of Baby Gohan’s assaults pierces Vegeta’s skin and allows Baby to take control of Vegeta’s body this time, taking control of a superior host while becoming what he despised deep inside: a pure Saiyan.
After absorbing the energy of his universe (which he powers himself) and using it to create a whole new species of creatures, Baby will take over and rule the Earth with an iron fist, enslaving all humans and Saiyan hybrids on the planet. Baby plans to establish a new Tsuful empire by infecting most of the Earthlings and Saiyan hybrids on Earth with Tsuful parasites, turning them into slaves who worship him. Recognizing Bulma’s Tsuful-like genius and her connection to Vegeta as his wife, Baby kidnaps her to make her his wife and subordinate leader to help him run his new empire. Chi-Chi and Videl are also infected; they will turn against Goku and Pan.
After conquering the population of Earth, Baby Vegeta is shocked to meet Son Goku, who has recently returned to Earth. Baby Vegeta then informs Goku that he has enslaved the planet, not knowing that Pan, Boo and Mr. Satan are no longer under his control. Trunks, who seemed to have escaped any negative consequences of Baby’s attack on him, was finally caught up, as Baby inserted his seed into Trunks in order to dominate him later, as he did with Goten.
After using Kaio-Ken to increase his power and quickly defeat the Baby, Goku challenges Baby Vegeta to a fight with matching weapons. But when Sangoku returns to normal, Baby Vegeta easily gets the upper hand. While reading about Baby’s character, Goku discovers her main weakness: she has no character. Despite the fact that he is clearly losing, Goku irritates him again and again, and Baby becomes more enamored with each provocation, unable to resist Goku’s remarks. Super Baby Vegeta then generates enough energy for Baby to transform.
After that, he will gain even more power from all the inhabitants of the Earth who have fallen under his domination, and he will develop into a much more powerful form: Baby Vegeta SSJ2. Baby Vegeta effortlessly overpowers Goku with his new power and unleashes a deadly ball of vengeance on him, leaving him unharmed after the next explosion. In the final stage of his plot, Baby decides to use the Death Star crystal balls to wish for the return of his planet and transport the Earthlings there by spaceship. When Baby Vegeta’s progress is stopped by Pan, Majin Boo and Mr. Satan, he asks Gohan and Videl to kill her. Uub, Goku’s student who had not yet been transformed at this stage of the story, comes to the rescue of the young man.
The fight continues for a while, until Uub and Baby Vegeta join the fray. Gohan, Goten and Trunks come to help Baby Vegeta but are unable to help him due to his lack of confidence. The fight between Baby Vegeta and Uub soon ends when the young warrior appears before him. After hearing Bulma’s report, he immediately leaves for the planet Tsuful, where he survives the attack thanks to the timely help of Majin Boo.
To his surprise, Baby Vegeta is once again confronted with Uub, who has merged with Majin Buu since their last meeting and has been renamed Majuub in the process. The rivalry between Baby and Majuub is then reconciled until Majuub uses one of his inherited fusion techniques, the transfiguration ray, against a number of hypnotized onlookers, turning them into chocolate. Baby Vegeta was on the verge of defeat when Majuub fired a chocolate Kamehameha at him. Baby Vegeta, on the other hand, declared that he had “done enough” and tried once again to deflect Majuub’s energy wave. The fighter was reduced to a harmless piece of chocolate by Baby Vegeta’s assault, which he began to consume.
Majuub’s defeat signals the return of Goku, who was thought to have been destroyed by the villain’s revenge ball. Goku fights Baby Vegeta after growing his tail back during his absence, but he is still dominated by the mind-controlled Saiyan. When Baby Vegeta steps forward to deliver the final blow, Goku undergoes a strange metamorphosis while staring at the Earth. V then sees Goku transform into Oozaru. The baby Vegeta is still unable to deflect or avoid Goku’s attacks, and the surface of the planet begins to be destroyed. However, since he was never able to control his huge ape form, either as Golden Oozaru or during Emperor Pilaf’s Saga, Goku starts to unleash his rage without restraint.
Finally, Pan appears in front of Goku, who will soothe his senses and lead him to his ultimate change: the form of Super Saiyan 4. The fight between Baby Vegeta and Goku continues. When Baby Vegeta learns that he can’t beat Goku at his current power level, he begs Bulma to give him more strength; the result is a Blitz wave generator built by Bulma. As a last resort, she directs the blitz wave generator at Baby Vegeta, turning him into a Great Golden Ape as Goku had done. Although Baby Vegeta’s power increases dramatically in this new form, he goes berserk and even demolishes a large part of his own city. Goku tries to lure the uncontrollable monster into an empty area, until Baby Vegeta curiously blinds him with a blast of Ki, which he would be unable to do strategically if he wasn’t in control of his own body due to his fury.
Baby claims that he has complete control of his senses due to Vegeta’s ability to maintain conscious control of the form, and that the devastation he caused earlier was just another example of “play”. Baby once again pushes Goku away after attempting to push him away in turn. After failing to target Goku’s family, Baby changes tactics and targets Goku himself.
When Baby Vegeta arrives on Earth, he inadvertently releases the parasite, which begins to torment Goku by blowing up the planet with an uncharged Super Garrick Cannon that demolishes much of Satan City in a massive explosion. Goku retaliates by firing a 10x Kamehameha at Baby Vegeta, which seems ineffective.
While the power of the force does not affect Baby Vegeta, its strength is enough to paralyze the Great Golden Ape for a few moments. Finally, Baby and Goku fall unconscious after colliding with each other. This forces Bulma, still controlled by Baby Vegeta, to use her Blitz wave generator to restore her energy. These waves, on the other hand, also reach Goku and are enough to revitalize him completely. After Baby Vegeta is fully rejuvenated, his power far exceeds Goku’s. He even turns to Sangoku’s allies and loved ones who have joined the fight since he was freed from Baby’s control. Since Baby is aware of the strength Goku has lost in battle, Goku’s taunts and psychological ploys are ineffective, and he will ignore them when he assaults the others.
When Baby Vegeta tries to exterminate everyone with the heavy load of the Garrick Cannon, he is about to destroy everything when suddenly Majuub, whose body has been exposed by Vegeta to be still operational, activates inside and attacks his insides, causing him a lot of discomfort before stopping his deadly explosion. Baby Vegeta will be furious at being rather helpless against an attacker inside him, which will motivate him to vomit Majuub.
Son Gohan died sacrificing himself to destroy the Black Hole Super Saiyan 3, created by Baby V. When the five Saiyans devoted their energy to Son Goku, Baby Vegeta realized that she had been tricked once again. To stop them, Baby Vegeta launched another Garrick Cannon at the five Saiyans. Although he was knocked out by this Z-team, Goku came out of the explosion unscathed, renewed and eager to continue fighting the Tsuful parasite.)
Baby Vegeta is unable to defeat Goku’s Super Saiyan 4 form, who will take the opportunity to fire a Ki blast at Vegeta’s tail and transform him back into the humiliated Super Baby Vegeta. According to Baby, the transformation of Vegeta’s shell into a Great Golden Ape changed Baby because as an adult, he would not have been able to stay in Vegeta’s body if he had returned to a normal size.
Baby flees Vegeta’s body and tries to escape from the planet Tsuful in her spaceship, but she does not succeed. Baby’s last impression is of Goku firing a 10x Kamehameha at her ship, which propels it into the Sun and destroys the malicious Tsuful parasite forever. After Baby’s death, the sacred water from the gazebo is used to heal all the victims of the villain. Although Baby did not appear in Super Saga #17 with the other villains, he was most likely sent to hell after meeting King Enma.
POWERS OF BABY & BABY VEGETA
IN THE ANIME
Baby’s cry as a newborn brought back Goku, Trunks and Pan. In addition, Dr. Myuu estimated that Baby could defeat the three warriors in the time it took to blink. He faced the Super Saiyan Goten in his teenage form on Earth when he arrived. When Baby first appeared as an infant, he seemed to be quite powerful, bringing Goku, Trunks and Pan back with his scream.
Baby Vegeta’s energy and power are greater than Goku’s in his Super Saiyan 3 form (who cannot use the full capacity of the form without his tail). After gathering the energy of Gohan, Goten and Trunks and transforming into his most powerful form, Goku notices that he has never felt ki as strong as Baby’s. Baby then claims to have acquired the greatest Saiyan strength.
In his second form, Baby Vegeta is able to crush Majuub with all his strength, but he is still defeated. Then, after Goku regains his tail, he believes that his strength has increased dramatically and that he is powerful enough to defeat Baby Super Saiyan 2. However, Baby believes that his power has not increased at all and that despite Goku’s stamina being depleted, Baby will show that he was not injured by the attack.
While in his most powerful form 2 at the moment, Baby Vegeta can withstand Goku Super Saiyan 4 and even injure him during the first part of their clash. Despite his overall disadvantage during the fight, he uses a powerful technique for revenge, which Goku will accept in full force without suffering significant damage.
According to Gohan, he has a similar strength to Goku’s SSJ4 form. He is a bit stronger than Goku Super Saiyan 4, according to Gohan. In the final battle, with his powers restored and then amplified by Blitz waves (in the Japanese dub, he only has his full power restored, not increased), he far surpasses Goku Super Saiyan 4 (though he is low on energy and injured from fighting Baby for a while just before), and thus must be fought by psychological methods rather than pure strength.
Super Cannon Garrick is capable of doing enough damage to the surface of the Earth to be visible from Tsuful, and old Kai fears that one of his charged attacks will completely destroy the planet. Baby’s power has increased following the removal of her aura, causing the energy level of much of her city to rise; and even her screams can do significant damage. However, when Goku is fully charged by the collective energy of Gohan, Goten, Trunks and Pan, Baby fights back, but when Goku absorbs his vengeful death ball, he is completely overwhelmed.
Trunks says that Baby has not yet reached his full adult form during the Baby saga, which implies that his adult form is superior to Goku Super Saiyan 3. He was quickly destroyed by Goku Super Saiyan 4 after reaching it.
IN VIDEO GAMES
The power level displayed by the scout of the character Super Baby Vegeta 2 is 1,300,000,000, as seen in Dragon Ball Z: Scouter Battle Taikan Kamehameha. His power level is 1,559,936,524 when he fights again in a special mission as Super Baby 2 and 1,895,922,852 when he fights against the Great Ape Oozaru.
In Dragon Ball Fusions, Baby manages to steal Hildegarn as a host in a space-time rift. He appears alongside Tekka’s team, including his old adversary Pan, and Goku as a youth (following the King Piccolo saga), Trunks and Goten as children (Dragon Ball Super). Because of Hildegarn’s size and enormous power, he is the ideal host for the adult Baby. They manage to defeat Baby Hirudegarn, forcing him to flee his new host.
In Xenoverse 2, Super Baby 2 faces Goku Super Saiyan Blue in a fragmented timeline. Baby deems Goku’s new form “showy” and “useless” in the face of his power, but this is because of Baby’s pride; he ignores the sacred energy and cannot sense Goku’s Blue SSJ form, implying that this form has no real strength. However, in an alternate setting, Baby infects Pan with his acolytes, giving him enough power to defeat Goku Super Saiyan 4, forcing the Time Patrol to intervene.
Finally, Baby’s slaves force the Time Patrol to destroy the already infected Pan and Trunks, and wait until they have no health left until Baby’s healing is gone. Meanwhile, Baby reveals that he has completed the Blitz wave generator, allowing him to transform into Baby Oozaru. Despite the fact that his minions have been healed, they are dominated by the Time Patrol. In another reality, while gathering crystal balls, he encounters the shadow dragons Omega Shenron, Li Shenron and Nova Shenron, all of whom he overcomes with the help of the Time Patrol.

ANECDOTES ON BABY IN DRAGON BALL
- His name is a reference to Dr. Myuu, who calls his offspring his “baby.” In fact, Baby began life as an artificial infant, just like Cella.
It is unclear whether Baby, in the form of the Great Golden Ape, can communicate telepathically but not speak, although he lacks this ability. - Even more strangely, according to the Budokai Tenkaichi series, Baby Oozaru seems to be able to speak.
- Dragon Ball GT: One Hundred Years Later ends with all the main characters in the end credits of the movie, and Baby is the only DBGT villain seen flying around next to Piccolo, Dende and Uub.
- When Baby takes control of Vegeta’s body, his voice has a reverb-like quality.
- The introduction of Vegeta Duppliqué in Dragon Ball Super implies a reference to Baby Vegeta. Moreover, such an opponent stealing Vegeta’s power has vertical lines on his face and tries to grab more individuals.
- His voice does not change when Baby first takes control of Vegeta. His voice, however, becomes deeper and has a more industrial tone as Super Baby. In the Budokai Tenkaichi series, however, Baby Vegeta’s voice has no vocal impact.
